MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot 'Bare Study' | Review

Hello Everybody!

MAC is fast becoming one of my favourite brands, and I thought I would review my most recent purchase: the Pro Longwear Paint Pot in 'bare study'.

This product comes in a little glass pot with a beautiful matte black lid. I love the packaging as it makes the product feel luxurious, while also being sturdy and a decent size. It retails for £15.50

I have to say, as soon as I swatched it I fell in love. It is a gorgeous shimmery colour with an amazingly creaming consistency. The texture of Maybelline colour tattoos is just as good so it is a shame that they do not currently have a similar shade as their products are better value (so if they ever get one I will snatch it up!)

In the pot it looks an average creamy colour but can be layered on the lid to create an intense white shimmer which brightens the eyes and looks stunning on pale skin, or as a pretty base for other eyeshadows. I cannot fault this MAC product and will look to buy more shades in the future.

What is your favourite cream eyeshadow shade?

Love, Phoebe x

  12. This really looks like a beautiful paint pot shade! I've never seen/heard of Bare Study. Unfortunately my eyelids are super oily (that sounds so weird, ew, sorry!) I can't wear these or the long-wear Maybelline Color Tattoos without primer or they will crease. For me, it's not worth it if I have to apply a primer. Hope you keep on enjoying your new paint pot, it's beautiful!!
